Transcript

Screening call, Senior Product Manager

Recruiter: Thanks for making time today. I'd like to understand your current role first, then go through what the client is looking for. Could you start with your scope? Candidate: Sure. I'm a senior product manager responsible for onboarding and KYC for small business accounts. I own the flow from sign-up to the first transaction, and I work with two engineering squads, risk and design. Recruiter: What changed in that flow in the last year that you were directly responsible for? Candidate: We rebuilt document verification. Completion went from roughly 60 to 74 percent in two quarters, and manual reviews dropped by about a third. Recruiter: How did you decide what to build first? Candidate: We mapped where applicants dropped out and interviewed ten customers who abandoned. Most of the drop was at proof of address, so we started there instead of the bigger redesign leadership wanted. Recruiter: Was there pushback? Candidate: Yes. The head of risk was worried about fraud exposure. We agreed on a staged rollout with a fraud threshold that would stop the release automatically. It never triggered. Recruiter: The client's role includes people management. How many people report to you today? Candidate: No direct reports. I mentor two associate PMs, but formally they report to my manager. Recruiter: Thanks, that's useful to know. What are you looking for in your next move? Candidate: A bigger product area and the chance to build a small team. Ideally still in regulated products. Recruiter: The role is hybrid, two days a week in the office. Does that work for you? Candidate: Yes, two days is fine. Recruiter: And your notice period? Candidate: Three months.

What the recruiter writes from that transcript

The transcript is evidence. These are the notes and the recommendation built from it, including the criterion the interview did not cover.

Interview notes

Evidence by criterion

Role: Senior Product Manager, B2B fintech (client: fintech scale-up) Evidence by criterion - Owns a product area end to end: strong. SMB onboarding and KYC from sign-up to first transaction. - Measurable impact: strong. Document verification rebuild, completion about 60% to 74% in two quarters, manual reviews down about a third. - Data-led prioritisation: strong. Drop-off analysis and ten customer interviews; chose proof of address over a larger redesign. - Stakeholder management: good. Handled risk concerns with a staged rollout and an automatic fraud threshold. - People management: no evidence yet. No direct reports; mentors two associate PMs. Motivation: bigger product area, wants to build a small team, prefers regulated products. Logistics: hybrid two days a week OK; notice period three months. Follow-up: how they would hire and lead a team of three.
Recommendation

Paragraph for the client

Recommendation: progress to the client interview. The candidate shows strong evidence of owning a regulated onboarding product end to end, including a document verification rebuild that lifted completion from about 60% to 74% within two quarters. Their prioritisation was data-led, and they handled risk concerns with a staged rollout rather than escalation. The interview produced no evidence yet for people management: the candidate mentors two associate PMs but has no direct reports. I recommend the client focuses the next conversation on how they would hire and lead a team of three.
Using a transcript well

What a useful interview transcript gives you

A transcript is only the raw material. Its value comes from what you can check, quote and decide with it afterwards.

01

Exact answers you can quote

Who said what, in the candidate's own words, including the numbers and examples you will want in the recommendation.

02

Evidence you can check against criteria

Compare the answers with the role's criteria and see which ones the interview covered and which it did not.

03

A record you can edit before AI uses it

Remove a sensitive aside or an off-topic detail before the transcript feeds a summary, a feedback message or a report.

Live transcript in ReCo

Get the transcript while you interview, next to the CV and the role

ReCo transcribes the interview live in Chrome during Google Meet and Microsoft Teams calls, with no bot joining. Phone and face-to-face interviews are captured through the computer microphone as a paid add-on. The transcript sits next to the CV, the job description and your notes, so the write-up starts from the same evidence.

  • No audio or video is stored; ReCo works from the transcript.
  • Live transcription in English, Polish, German, Danish, Ukrainian and more.
  • Edit the transcript before AI drafts notes or a recommendation.

✨ More than a notetaker

Not another notetaker. The place you do the whole interview job - from running the call to the finished report.

Think ChatGPT + a notetaker in one recruiting workspace, already set up for candidate interviews. Prepare the role and questions, run the call with the CV, notes, and live transcript at hand, then create the write-up from those same sources. Because the context builds as you work, AI can help without extra prompts, uploads, or re-explaining the candidate and role.

Prep, run, write up - one space

Role context and questions before the call; the CV, JD, and your own notes at hand during it; a write-up built from those same sources after - you choose what feeds each part, and what you write yourself.

A recommendation report you edit however you like

Generate the whole candidate report, rewrite one paragraph with your own instruction, or write a section by hand - all in the same editor, with the sources behind each block up to you: transcript, notes, CV or job description.

A notetaker at its core

A live transcript for Google Meet and Teams, with no audio or video stored. Face-to-face meetings and phone calls on speakerphone are captured through the computer microphone as a paid add-on.

Time back after every conversation

Reports, notes, and summaries done 50-80% faster - while the conversation is still fresh.

AI that needs no prompting

Chat and quick actions already know your candidate and role - ask for follow-up questions, a tailored candidate feedback message, or a search strategy. No prompt engineering, no transcript to paste, no role to explain.

Compliance built into the flow

CV blinding and transcript editing - data stays local, you control what gets processed.

A workflow your team will actually use

Recruiters keep working the way they already do, but with the full interview stage in one place. You get consistent structure across calls and reports, while useful AI does not depend on everyone mastering prompts or rebuilding context.
