Use case: responsible AI

Responsible AI in recruitment, built into the interview workflow

ReCo is designed for compliance with GDPR, the EU AI Act and CCPA/CPRA, with the controls inside the daily work rather than in a policy document. CVs are anonymized automatically in your browser before AI processing, and you can check and correct the result. You can edit the transcript by hand to remove anything sensitive. No audio or video is stored, and the recruiter, not AI, assesses every candidate.

How it works

Controls at the moment data meets AI

Each step happens where you already work, so responsible use does not depend on remembering a policy.

  1. 1

    Anonymize the CV

When you add a CV, ReCo detects personal identifiers such as the name, email, LinkedIn profile and location and blinds them in your browser. Draw a rectangle to blind anything else.

  2. 2

    Edit the transcript

Remove a sensitive aside or an off-topic detail from the transcript by hand before AI drafts notes, a feedback message or the report.

  3. 3

    Choose the sources

For every report section you decide which material AI may use, and you approve the final text.

How data moves

What is processed, what is stored and what you control

Processing and storage are different questions, so the table answers them separately. It summarizes the ReCo Privacy Policy.

Processing, storage and recruiter control for each type of data in ReCo
DataProcessingStorageYour control
CVPersonal identifiers are detected and blinded in your browser by a model that runs locally on your device. Photos are not sent to AI; only text is.Working files stay on your device.Check the blinding and draw over anything else before you confirm.
Online interview (Google Meet, Microsoft Teams)ReCo reads the closed captions of the call.No audio or video is captured or stored. The transcript stays on your device.Start and stop transcription; edit or delete passages.
Phone or face-to-face interviewAudio from the computer microphone is streamed over an encrypted connection to a speech-to-text provider in the EU.The audio is not stored by ReCo or by the provider. The transcript stays on your device. You start and stop transcription.
AI features (fit analysis, messages, reports)Only when you run them, the sources you use are sent to the AI provider. Speaker names are replaced with Recruiter and Candidate.Processed under a data processing agreement, not used to train models; the provider keeps API inputs for up to 30 days.Choose the sources per report section and edit the transcript before AI uses it.
ReportsDrafted from the sources you choose.Finished reports stay on your device until you delete them.Edit every paragraph and approve the report before sending.

Using ReCo does not make a firm compliant on its own: your firm remains the controller of candidate data and decides its legal basis, candidate notices and retention.

Why it matters

Use AI with candidate data, without the copy-paste risk

Pasting CVs and transcripts into ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini by hand is where personal data slips through. ReCo anonymizes CVs automatically before anything reaches AI.

Data minimization by default

No audio or video is stored. ReCo works from the transcript, and working files stay on your device.

Human-led decisions

ReCo organizes evidence and drafts text. It does not score, rank or reject candidates; the recruiter decides.

A standard you can explain

One way of using AI across the team, easy to describe to a client or a candidate who asks.
